A Case Study on Commercialization of Appropriate Technology in Lao PDR: Focusing on Lao-Korea Science and Technology Center

The purpose of this paper is to examine commercialization model appropriate technology through the case LaoKorea Science and Technology Center (LKSTC). LKSTC has developed washing, water treatment, sterilization in agrifood sector three types pico-hydro generator, Pico-solar hybrid system, energy remote monitoring renewable sector. Commercialization was successfully carried out establishment Kaipan community business, school enterprises, social enterprise. policy implications are as follows. First, developing countries should enhance linkage with regional development policies recipient countries. Second, order minimize market risk, innovative local startup networks be properly established. Finally, mid long term efforts needed increase sustainability business.
